A.  Instill Environmental Awareness and have fun outdoors!

"Stop and smell the roses" is more than just a cliché, it is the first step in recognizing our natural world.  Seton Scout Naturalists will enable more Scouts to recognize the beauty and value of enjoying the Chesapeake Bay and protecting it for future generations.

B.  Develop Environmental Leadership

Seton Scout Naturalists, when they have completed our training will be able to serve as a leader and vital resource person for their Scout unit.

C. Promote BSA Outdoor Ethics

Seton Scout Naturalists will understand the importance of sound environmental stewardship based on the BSA Outdoor Code.

D. Increase Distinguished Service to Conservation Award

During the program, we will encourage Scouts to earn the award to  complete conservation projects that protect the Chesapeake Bay.

E. Enhance Weekend Programming at  Scout Camps

Naturalists will volunteer to conduct weekend environmental education programming for visiting Scout troops.

F. We will be able to recruit better trained staff for Scout Camp

G.  Nature Adventure Tripping

As an alternative to seeing how many miles you can paddle, plan a canoe trip to interface with nature.
