What to Bring to Rodney Scout Camp Scout Naturalist Program:
We will meet at the Rodney administration building at 1 PM on Sunday, August 5, 2018. 400 Rodney Scout Rd, North East, MD 21901. We will be camped in a cabin dormitory about a mile walk from the parking lot. Contact Marty at 410-440-1128 if you are running late. Scout Naturalist graduation is 9:30 AM, Saturday, August 11. The program ends at 10:00 AM that morning.

The following items are prohibited in camp. Violators may be dismissed from camp.
· Alcoholic beverages and illegal drugs
· Large Sheath knives
· Fireworks
· Firearms and air guns*
Label Clothing: label each item of clothing and equipment with the camper’s name and Troop number. This will be helpful in returning lost items.
Footwear & “Boat Shoes”
Appropriate footwear must be worn at all times in camp. Closed‐toed footwear and socks must be worn at all times around camp except while swimming in the pool. “Boat shoes” refer to the footwear required to be worn while boating or wading in the bay. These must be closed‐toed and can be old sneakers, boots, or shoes to be worn only for this purpose. Wet shoes that are worn around camp will cause blisters.
Aqua socks, sandals, and open‐toed shoes are not acceptable as “boat shoes” and will prevent Scouts from participating in any programs or the bay Crocs™ or Keen™ sandals that are closed‐toed, have thick soles and will not slip off your feet are acceptable.

We will be constructing a nature trail at camp. Increase your nature knowledge by watching videos about the plants found along the trail. Click on the button to open videos.
Bring a composition book to use as your journal if you do not like to draw
Bring blank journal book or a sketch book from an office or book store if you like to draw.

Please refrain from texting, playing games, or visiting Facebook on your cell phones so you can have more time to get to know other Scout Naturalists during recreational time and free time.
